It`s always an eye-opener to get a closer look at aircraft. You get an idea of the arduous journeys they endure. They fly 5 miles high at 500mph,deter rough air and turbulence and put up with extremes of weather,temperature,pressure differences and anything else you can imagine. On the ground they seem to assume a personality. The fan blades turn slowly in the wind with an irregularly paced ticking sound. Sometimes fast,sometimes slow in an eerie manner. In maintenance areas they often have all kinds of systems running or venting and they become a hissing,breathing alive machine. The size factor is always a bit of a wow too....Hopefully some of this is depicted in this gallery.
